Baby Suite
Our baby suite is second to none An airy, vibrant room, it provides everything you could possibly need to suit your child’s needs with an abundance of toys and floor space for activities.
Children are scheduled to sleep in the playroom at set times throughout the day and are frequently checked and recorded by staff members every ten minutes.
We have a separate changing room for the use of the baby suite, supervised by qualified nursery nurses trained in basic health and hygiene to ensure the highest possible standards in both of these areas.
You can rest assured that your baby will receive our undivided attention, lots of love and attention when you leave them with us.
Tweenie room
Our Tweenie room offers care for children approximately 20 months old to 30 months. There is plenty of free play available for children in our care with more structured activities being introduced in the form of art and crafts, topics, sand and water.
All our staff in the Tweenie room implement Birth to Three planning. A timetable of activities is drawn up to ensure that every child benefits from all of our activities whether they attend full time or part time.
Children generally potty train in this age group and their social and language skills develop rapidly.
Preschool
As your child approaches the age of three, they will move into our preschool room where they will have the opportunity to take part in exciting activities from the age of three plus to five, in line with government guidelines.
OFSTED carry out formal inspections of our planning and performance to ensure that we are constantly achieving the requirements to qualify for early years funding. This enables parents to benefit by receiving funding from the government towards their nursery fees. This funding is automatically credited to you once your child reaches the age for which funding is awarded by the council.
Children are offered foundation stage activities and we constantly liaise with local schools in order to ensure that we are preparing the children in our care for the difficult transition to school. Both nurseries are members of local partnership groups, which are made up of local schools and nurseries, and these groups meet regularly to offer mutual advice, understanding and support.
A strong emphasis is also placed on early independence and social skills. This is very important for the transition to school and serves well to boost self confidence and self esteem.
All members approach the development of all skills with encouragement and all of our staff are dedicated to ensuring each and every child is treated as an individual and encouraged to participate in all activities taking place. All of this is combined with a lot of care and understanding to ensure the children have as much confidence as possible to cope with the transition to school.
